A SUCCESSFUL MILESTONE IN THE JOURNEY TO ELEVATE STANDARDS IN VIETNAM’S PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY
On May 29, 2026, at Cau Giay Hotel, Vitech Company, in collaboration with Merck, successfully organized the annual seminar [VITECH PHARMA DAY 2026] under the theme “The Importance of GMP Compliance & Effective Working Experience with Audit Authorities.”
The event was successfully held with the participation of numerous representatives from testing institutes, research centers, and leading pharmaceutical companies across Vietnam. The program was honored to welcome and feature professional insights from 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗟𝗲̂ 𝗩𝗮̆𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘆𝗲̂̀𝗻, Senior Pharmaceutical Expert and Former Deputy Minister of Health, together with experts from Merck, including Mr. 𝗣𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗽 𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗸, Product Specialist, Technical Application Downstream, Merck Thailand & Vietnam; Mr. 𝗩𝘂̃ 𝗧𝗵𝗮̀𝗻𝗵 𝗞𝗵𝗮́𝗻𝗵, Merck BioM Business Director in Vietnam; Ms. 𝗡𝗴𝗼̂ 𝗧𝗿𝗮̂̀𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗮̀𝗶 𝗧𝗵𝘂̛𝗼̛𝗻𝗴, BioM Account Manager in Vietnam; and Mr. 𝗧𝗿𝗮̂̀𝗻 Đ𝗮̆𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝗮, Life Science, Process Solutions Business Manager at Merck Vietnam.
At the seminar, the speakers delivered in-depth and practical content focusing on the critical role of GMP compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing, effective preparation and collaboration with audit authorities, as well as regulatory requirements and practical experience in sterile filtration membrane validation. In addition, the program provided important updates on data integrity in pharmaceutical production and solutions for air microbial sampling, contributing to supporting businesses in enhancing quality management capabilities, risk control, and readiness to meet increasingly rigorous international standards.
In the context of the pharmaceutical industry facing stricter supervision and higher compliance requirements, properly understanding and implementing GMP, ensuring data integrity, controlling quality, and proactively preparing for inspections and assessments are key factors that help businesses achieve sustainable development.
